Code of Conduct and Product Code

The Nest Markets showcase the best of what our local region has to offer. We are committed to maintaining an authentic, high quality market experience where stallholders work alongside local businesses to create a welcoming and memorable day for the community.
The Nest Markets are recognised for strong presentation, quality products and a high level of customer service. All stallholders are expected to consistently deliver excellent service and uphold the reputation of the market. Market Management will protect the integrity, quality and authenticity of The Nest Markets by implementing and enforcing the Market Rules, Terms and Conditions and this Code of Conduct.
This Code of Conduct forms part of the Stallholder Terms and Conditions and applies to all stallholders, both current and future. The Market Manager may revise this document as required. By booking, attending or participating in The Nest Markets, stallholders acknowledge that they are bound by this Code of Conduct at the time of agreement and any future updates.
Code of Conduct
Stallholders agree to act with respect, courtesy and professionalism at all times. Stallholders must interact with the public, Market Management and fellow stallholders in a respectful and cooperative manner. Stallholders must work safely and ensure the safety of others at all times. Stallholders must contribute to a fair, inclusive and positive market environment. Stallholders must not engage in harassment, intimidation or unwanted physical contact. Stallholders must not engage in rude, aggressive, uncooperative or disruptive behaviour. Stallholders must not verbally criticise other stallholders, their products or their business operations. Stallholders must not use profanity, offensive language or inappropriate communication. Stallholders must conduct their business with honesty, transparency and integrity. Stallholders must follow all directions from Market Management at all times.
Unacceptable Behaviour
Unreasonable or negative behaviour that places individuals at risk or damages the reputation of the market will not be tolerated. This includes bullying, verbal or physical abuse, sexual harassment, racism, discrimination, offensive or derogatory language, shouting, intimidation, unsubstantiated criticism, victimisation, inappropriate communication including email or social media, behaviour that may bring The Nest Markets into disrepute, theft, misuse of intellectual property or copyright infringement. A single serious incident may constitute a breach.
Reporting and Investigation
All complaints will be taken seriously, investigated promptly and assessed fairly. The Market Manager is the first point of contact. All reports must be submitted in writing, clearly outlining details and made in good faith.
Anonymous or malicious complaints will not be accepted. Complaints will not be handled verbally on site.
Breach of Code
Where a breach occurs, Market Management may issue a verbal warning, written warning, suspension, immediate removal or permanent exclusion depending on severity.
Market Management Rights
The Market Manager has the right to refuse or cancel participation, remove stallholders without notice, relocate stalls, require removal of products or require operational changes where necessary.
Social Media and Reputation
Stallholders agree that images may be used for promotion unless declined in writing. Stallholders must not publish or engage in negative, misleading or defamatory commentary regarding The Nest Markets, Market Management, Council or other stallholders across social media, reviews or public commentary. All grievances must be raised directly with Market Management. Breaches will result in removal, exclusion and possible legal action.
Product Code of Conduct
The Nest Markets are a curated market supporting handmade, local and artisan products. Stallholders must ensure products are handmade, designed, created or significantly altered by them. Mass produced goods, bulk imports or products sourced from platforms such as Temu or Shein are not permitted.
The Market Manager may review products, request information, require removal of products or revoke participation where standards are not met. Failure to comply may result in removal or exclusion.
Final Agreement
By booking and participating in The Nest Markets, stallholders agree to this Code of Conduct, Product Code and all Terms and Conditions. This agreement is binding.
